Enhance Your Titanic Experience

February 10, 2012 through September 9, 2012

Living History

Every weekend, actors dressed in period attire and portraying passengers and crew aboard Titanic, roam Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition. Visitors to the exhibition can interact with the actors as they share Titanic’s stories. To find these lively glimpses into Titanic’s history, visit the exhibition on Saturdays and Sundays between 11 AM and 5 PM. All of the Titanic actors are members of American Rose Theatre, a local award-winning educational nonprofit theater company.

Replica Radio Display

A replica wireless radio, similar to that used on Titanic, is now on display at theNAT. The display includes a replica transmitter and receiver, a pre-recorded audio track of what distress calls sounded like to the nearby ships and shore stations, and a demonstration of how distress calls, including the first SOS in a major maritime disaster, were made from Titanic during its tragic sinking April 15, 1912. Thank you to the volunteers of the USS Midway Museum Radio Room who designed and built this fascinating demonstration.

The wireless radio display is located on the second floor of the Museum, near the exit of Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition.
